Meaford is a beautiful little town nestled on the shores of Georgian Bay between Thornbury and Owen Sound. The town features an impressive art and culture community with the Meaford Hall Arts and Culture Centre located on their main street, the annual scarecrow festival, a super school in the works, and an immensely growing real estate market for those looking to move out of the city or retire in a small town.
Meaford has a pretty downtown core comprised of historic buildings and also includes a memorial park for camping with over 468 meters of beautiful shoreline, dog-friendly parks and Trout Hollow Trail for hiking.
Just outside of Meaford is the village of Leith where renowned Canadian Artist and friend of the Group of Seven, Tom Thomson spent his childhood as a young artist inspired by the beauty of Georgian Bay. Tom is buried at the Leith Church and his boyhood home is only a short distance away.
Meaford is certainly a growing community with much to offer its residents and those looking to make a real estate market in a very up and coming town.
